Meditations for a Christian fundamentalist

"In Rabbinic Judaism, there is no developed doctrine of eternal torment.  Which raises the question: Why is it that when the "good news" is announced by Jesus, hell comes with it?  How is that "good?"  Perhaps we should call it the "mixed news" of Christ?  Or the "good, the bad and the ugly news."  But not simply the "good news." - Matthew Distefano
